Sixteen-year-old Wafa’a has none of the toys of Western teenagers – no cool mobile phone or funky bracelets. Like many of the millions of refugees from war-torn Syria, her life is a bleak one now. Exiled and fatherless, she lives in a small bare apartment with her mother and five siblings, just miles from the Syrian-refugee camp, Al Za’atari on the borders of Jordan.
